DUBAI: Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has started virtual meetings with potential investors ahead of the planned initial public offering of its drilling unit, two sources told Reuters.
Banks working on ADNOC Drilling are scheduling calls with local, regional and international institutional investors to sound out appetite for the potential sale, said the sources, declining to be named as the matter is not public.
The meetings are described as an early look engagement, one of the sources said, where the company that is set for a public share sale is introduced and feedback is sourced from investors.
ADNOC, which supplies nearly 3 percent of global oil demand, declined to comment when contacted by Reuters on Monday.
LONDON, May 17 (Reuters): Oil prices were little changed on Monday, trading in a tight range as European economic reopenings offset gloom from surging Covid-19 cases in Asia, fresh restrictions and underwhelming Chinese manufacturing data.
Brent crude slipped 1 cent, or less than 0.1%, to US$68.70 a barrel at 0908 GMT, and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude edged down by a similar amount to US$65.36.
Both contracts have risen more than 30% since the start of the year, and Brent remains close to the key US$70-a-barrel threshold. The fact that prices remained relatively stable during this rather turbulent five-day period indicates that the confidence in a healthy oil market remains intact and unless something unpredictably negative occurs any downside potential will be limited, said PVM Oil analyst Tamas Varga.
RIYADH: Egypt s tourism industry is rapidly recovering helped by an influx of holidaymakers from Eastern Europe, the country s tourism minister told CNBC Arabia.
Tourist arrivals have more than doubled since the start of the year, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Enany told the network on the sidelines of
the Arabian Travel Market 2021 in Dubai.
It comes as the country invests heavily in its tourism infrastructure with current projects worth some $15 billion, he said.
The country is also trying to streamline the visa process with plans to launch an electronic visa portal covering 73 countries.
The minister said that a meeting would be held in the coming weeks with Saudi officials to discuss standard travel controls in the region.
DUBAI: Yemen s information minister Moammar al- Eryani has said he condemns in the strongest terms a Houthi attack on a crowded market in Al-Durayhimi district, south of Hodeidah province.
Eryani said the attack on a market filled with hundreds of civilians by an “Iranian-made” drone killed one person and wounded five others.
He told the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) that the attack was an extension of a series of crimes and violations committed by the Houthi militia against civilians in liberated areas of Hodeidah.
Eryani also called on the UN envoy and the United Nations mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement, to condemn the attack and to consider it a war crime.
